This is the same Company that offered us the trade name, but which we turned down. Arthur Gent checked with Companies House who informed him that there is no Company registered as Francis-Barnett Ltd or Barnett Motorcycles. But however there is a dormant Company registered as Francis Barnett Motorcycles Ltd Number 04126308 to someone in Rhyl. This was reported in 1st issue this year.

Hi Mark. The parent company was Francis & Barnett Ltd of Lower Ford St Coventry. A subsidiary company Francis Barnett Motorcycles, was Clarendon Pressing and Welding. This was on Clarendon St, Earlsdon, Coventry. The letter head below is from 1st July 1954, and the one below that is 1963, and with the Birmingham logo. Mike

If anybody reads the JAMPOT web site there has been a forum going on there for the last few weeks on the Chinese AJS,s. Fluff Brown owns the name and imports bikes and sells then under th AJS name, the matchless name has been sold and there are rumours of I believe its italian matcheless's. What price chinese Francis Barnetts.
