20T piston ring gap

Just sorting the rings out on my 20T engine, anyone know what the gap size should be?

Goddard manual says ring gap should be between .010" to 0.025"

Hepolite specify .003" per 1" of bore diameter MINIMUM, for air cooled engines so on a 59mm bore would be approx .008" minimum, so the figure from Goddard's book sounds realiistic, i.e gap at @010" when new and replace @ .025" when worn.
