Word to the wise

Your Speedometer is worth about 200 and a FB Plover footrest is more like a tenner, i appreciate you may be desperate for a footrest, but seems a very unfair swap to me ?

Does it have to be an original or would a fabricated one do you? I or any capable person could probably manufacture you one out of steel tubing, I could copy my wifes Plover footrest.
Depends how original you wish to be I suppose.
Not bothered about the Triumph Speedo though, get it on ebay make some money.

We are not that bothered about originality so to make life easier I made Mrs B a sidestand for her Plover. Some may frown but we are happy.

Swap Triumph Speedo.

Nice pair of bikes there. Personally I'd rather see old bikes running on the road with a few 'wrong' bits than not see them at all.

As for the footrest, I'd go with the fabricated one and keep looking for the real thing. It's what I've done with the Bantam restoration, just made do till the right bit appears and swapped it, selling the old bit on.

Footrests

I have 2 off a falcon, same fitting just a bit shorter, easy enough to cut one and weld an extra inch into it, just depends how desperate the guy is , they are 10 each, about a 1/10th of the value of a Smiths chrono ?
