Hi Stewart,
The arden green paint can be a bit hit and miss. I've lost count of the number of different shades of green I've seen on restored bikes, they all look great but its just so hard to pin down an exact match (assuming thats what you're after) to the original as the colour code/mixing formula used originally is out of use and is double dutch to modern paint shops. I've seen RAL 6009 Fir Green used and its a good enough match for me.
RS Bike Paint offer arden green paint on their website, have never used them or seen the paint so cant vouch for it  http://www.rsbikepaint.com/en-gb/colours.php

Robert

Post  dodgeyroger on Mon Dec 11, 2017 3:18 pm

I have just restored my Cruiser 80 with Arden Green Paint from RS Bike paints, used the 400ml aerosol Code 7723 . The quality is good and it covers well . Can Send pics if you want You can get the paint you put thru a spray gun if you want.

FB Light Cruiser main stand

Post  FB vincent on Mon Dec 11, 2017 3:48 pm

It looks as if the stand is unique to the Light Cruiser, so that will make your search more limited.

Should look something like this Peter, I can take a pic or get measurements of one later in the week if needed. What is it that stands are so in demand/missing? Have picked up three light cruisers over the years with only one stand between them

Hell Robert ,
Thanks for the advice and the link. I do have the breakdown of the Paint PO3O NH77
but as you say its gobledygook to most paint suppliers. Did have another tell me that the Landrover green was a close match. I will try the link you gave .

Thank you Gentlemen for all the help. I did try about a year ago to find the stand but was unsuccessful. I had to leave the resto and now just getting back to trying to get more of it done. I have the front wheel stand but just not the main one that seems to be the hardest to get. Hopefully peter it is one of the ones you have.

If you PM me your email address I will send you some pics, RS bike paints, they have a web site were you can order on line, and they seem helpful and stuff arrives promptly. The quality of the 400 ml cans is good and it covers very well, but it does not go very far ( one whole can just for the tank ) think used 8 or 9 for the whole bike and it's a bit expensive. I used primer from Halfords first and lacquer from Halfords afterwards and results were pretty good for a first try

Light Cruiser parts

Post  mike Sayer on Fri Dec 15, 2017 7:44 pm

Hi all, I have a stand which may be for a 79 or it could be for an 87 but the only way I to confirm that is if some kind person could provide some measurements. The stand is in need of some TLC, new pads on the legs & some welding, but it is recoverable.
Mike.

PS. I`ll try to get into my garage over the weekend to measure the one I have. Very Happy

Hi Mike..
I am affraid I cannot help with the measurements on the said main stand. I would need to look to some of the other guys to help with the measurements. But if it is the right one then yes I will be interested if you are still interested in selling it.

Stewart, bad news, the stand I have has both legs splayed out & the return spring lug is centrally placed on the cross tube so i`m thinking its not for the 79. I can send you a scan of a drawing I made if you want, if so PM me with your email address. Sorry mate. Sad
regards, Mike.

You may want to look at this, ebay item 122883353434

I am not a Light Cruiser expert, but the above item does have the off centre spring. Vendor has other stands which may or may not be FB.
