interesting stag

Post  piston 197 on Thu Nov 30, 2017 3:50 pm

On page 12 of this months ( December 2017) there is an article on the Ardingley show and mentions and shows a part photo of a Francis Barnett Stag with 248cc Blackburne engine in scrambles trim, fitted with a swing arm conversion and matchless telescopic front forks.

Many years ago i had photos sent to me of an unrestored FB Stag with swing arm conversion and telescopic forks which was built in the 40's from an original Stag, it may be a coincidence, but would have a bet it probably is the same bike ??
Does anybody know any more about this machine ?
