rear wheel tyre rim grips

Hi guys,can any one tell me, was there originally a rear wheel tyre rim grip fitted to our bikes? bearing in mind none of our bikes are what , well shall we say quick , my bike has 2.75 x 19 tyres Thanks Alan

rear wheel rim grips.usually fitted to off road bikes to stop tire slipping on rim and pulling the valve stem out,not neccassary on a small road bike, if you want to fit one a 2.75 width should use a wm1 clamp. 5 bike
