Vale Onslow, Birmingham

Post  FB vincent on Tue Oct 31, 2017 4:12 pm

I understand that Vale Onslow's premises are now being demolished; for many years the premises have been partly boarded up with scaffolding surrounding the collapsing building.

Over the last ten years Vale Onslow have been able to provide me (and others) with new FB/James parts to enable the restoration of ancient bikes that would otherwise have slumbered for ever.

From time to time I would visit them and enjoy chatting with Len (Junior), who knew more about James and Francis Barnett bikes than most of us ever will.  The shop was unchanged from the great days of motorcycling and took me back to my teenage days when I would drool over all those shiny new bikes lined up ready for sale in my home area of north London.

Does anyone know what the future is for the treasure trove of parts that they held?
