8E coils, which size?

Hi. Does the 8e use short or long type coils.?

There are more than 2 lengths ( and diameters) of coil on various Villiers engines from 50cc 2K,pre war, 8E A series  etc, best to measure the ones you have ( and diameter) to get the correct one ? If a seller is worth his salt he will know which coil he is selling for which engine ?
Part No for ignition coil on 8E should be M1361, you will have to use your original coil shoes
