How do I remove the points cam on AMC 20T?

Post  rob spence on Sun Oct 22, 2017 2:30 pm

Hi,
I'm taking my engine to bits and about to remove the points timing cam from the end of the crankshaft. It seems to have a slotted screw down the end, but I'm sure I can also see a circlip too....any ideas?

I worked it out, the circlip makes the screw captive and therefore when you unscrew the screw it acts as a self puller. I have to say the AMC engines are well put together.
