Parts for Falcon 74

Post  falcon-reub on Thu Aug 10, 2017 9:11 pm

Hey guys,

I have a 1956 Falcon 74 that's incomplete. I need a front wheel and hub, carb (9E, so I believe it requires an S25) and fuel tank. The rest I can fabricate.

Can anyone recommend where I might obtain these parts? I've been looking on eBay but had no luck in the last couple of months.

Also, are these parts shared with any other bikes, that might broaden my search a little Very Happy

Cheers, Reuben

If you go onto Facebook and find Villiers Engines. Go back to June and someone is braking a complete Falcon 81. I don't know what if any will fit yours but worth a try.
You should have found on eBay as I sold 2 front wheels within the last couple of months. There is also Jonh. piston on this forum who has and sells spares

Front wheel is common with Falcon 70 ( 19") and (Falcon 81 same 18") engine in a Falcon 74 from 1956 should be an 8E ??? , FB never fitted a 9E, (although they did use the 10E which apart from a different angled carb manifold and differently styled outer cases is the same) but yes it will still have S25 carburettor, Petrol tank is common with Falcon 70 and 81.
Wheel also used on James K7 1955 to 1959 only .

I have a front wheel and hub off a 1956 Falcon together with the brake plate and shoes. They are in good order and although the chrome is orginal and past its best. I also have a complete set of forks and other tin-ware - see my post on 16-7-17. Contact me Ron on 01912520627
