speedo query

Post  Mollbhan on Tue Aug 08, 2017 10:40 pm

Hi all, I recently acquired a new bike, 1948 with a 98cc Villiers engine, I dare not say the name on an FB forum, question is there is no, and I do not think there ever has been a speedo fitted to this bike. The 1948 ad has a speedo listed as an optional extra, is it legal to use on the public road nowadays without a speedo?

I think it lays with you not to speed. How you do it is your problem. Several people have fitted a cycle speedo as these are cheap accurate and easy to fit

To speed or not to speed

Given that your bike won't need an MOT, then a cheap bicycle Speedo will help to watch the mileage etc.
