Mystery Tool on eBay

Post  MoscowFlyer on Sun Jun 25, 2017 8:06 am

Can anyone solve the mystery of what this tool is for? Could it be for removing a bush or something like that. Mike

Not a clue ?

Post  piston 197 on Sun Jun 25, 2017 8:45 am

Mike it looks like some kind of "blind bush "remover, but never seen anything like it or the need for it on any FB or Bantam I have ever had ?? it looks as if whatever it has to remove requires a lot of pressure if the number of bolts is anything to go by , it may have nothing to do with either bike the vendor had, and may be something that found it's way into the parts, looking at it, it appears to be well made, but an item knocked up to do a job by somebody who has access to a lathe, rather than a propriety item ?

Francis Barnett frame ID plate

Post  Stan Barnett on Mon Aug 28, 2017 7:10 am

Hi Mike,
Sorry, this is off topic but the only way I can see how to contact you. I live in France and have just completed the restoration of my 1955 Falcon 70. I now wish to register it here in France but the authorities demand a frame ID plate. I noticed on Google that you bought 3 off ebay a few years ago and wondered if you still had one you might be willing to sell please? Long shot I know but fingers crossed. Thanks. My email address ricsman2@yahoo.co.uk
