Seagull electronic ignition and parts needed

Post  JonTheBuilder on Thu Jun 15, 2017 8:34 am

Hi,

I'm thinking go putting electronic ignition onto my 35 Seagull and was wondering if anyone had done the same and could recommend a kit to use?

Also I'm after a couple of parts. The tank is currently being held in place by gravity and the gear change lever! I'm after what I presume is a bracket/s which bolt under the tank onto the frame.
I also need the ball for the end of the gear change lever.

Any help would be great.

Cheers

Jon

I have a 35 Seagull, PM me your email address and I'll send some photos of how the tank fits. Essentially, there are two brackets welded to the bottom of the tank which bolt onto two brackets, which themselves are bolted to the top member of the frame. The tank also is supported by two bits of rubber at the front and back. I think later bikes had three fixing points.

Not sure about the electronic ignition, seems like a lot of messing about. Have you spoken to Villiers Services?

Cheers

Mike
