Wanted Falcon frame 1955-57

Post  Mr Mouse on Tue May 16, 2017 7:28 pm

Hi Guy's,

After taking advice from the very knowledgeable JH who a fellow member pointed out to me, thanks Ken !

I have been informed that the ideal frame to take my 8E engine would be a Falcon frame from 1955-57, one that begins with the prefix of VM WM or YM would be ideal.

If anyone out there has such a frame they no longer require & would like to sell could they please get in touch with me ?

Regards,

Gerry.

Hi Gerry,
I'm a member from Australia and I got excited as a recalled a Francis Barnett frame with a frame number commencing with VB being advertised currently on Australian E Bay. but alas, according to Mr Bacon, its actually for a 1955 71 cruiser with the 1h 225cc motor. I have a 75 cruiser and its very similar to my frame.

Cruiser 71 frame

Other than the serial numbers pre-fix the 71 frame should be exactly the same as your 75 there was very little difference between the 71 and 75, just wheel rim sizes, radius of rear guard , rear light fitting and front fork steering head spindle fitting( headstock spindle and bearings)
