Altette horn

Post  Tony Rickwood on Sun May 14, 2017 9:23 am

Where does the horn fit on a 1954 Falcon? I originally placed it just in front of the toolbox on the LH side, but the air filter gets in the way. None of the photos I've seen even show a horn. Any ideas would be appreciated!

It's what was originally on the bike. Big brute of a thing. Certainly won't go on the fork yoke and I've mislaid the only pre-rebuild photo that might have shown it. It will actually hang from the front fuel tank lug but only just clears the yoke on full lock. The only other place could be the mount point for the RH rear footrest.

Tony,
I have same problem
Only thing I can find is part number in list is 6578 horn & 6577 horn distance piece. There are no pictures of the position of the horn,

Thanks Peter, I'll find a place for it. Loth to put a smaller horn on. This one's very loud!
