Gary, which model and what parts, easier to advise if I know what you are looking for ? The days of a "one stop shop" for FB parts has long gone

FP parts

Post  FB vincent on Tue Mar 21, 2017 8:40 am

You need to let us know what FB model you have, since this will determine what parts are available.

The only remaining dealer is Vale Onslow Ltd of Birmingham, and their stocks are now very limited. Many parts on the later AMC period bikes are common to the smaller 250cc 4 stroke bikes made by Norton, AJS/Matchless and there are specialist suppliers for these makes. Villiers parts are available from Villiers Services.

Ebay will provide many parts, but watch out since many items are incorrectly described.

If you let readers of this Forum know what you are looking for they will be able to help.

If you keep at it, just about everything can be sourced. But sadly you cannot today walk over the oily floorboards, past the new BSA Bantams and FB Plovers and to the spares counter and ask the rather reluctant guy wearing a brown workshop coat and smoking a fag for part No. 005889 (rear sprocket for Falcon 87)

Rear sprocket for Falcon 87

Post  piston 197 on Tue Mar 21, 2017 8:44 am

No but you could ask me ! the club spares stock still has a few left !
I also have new gearbox sprockets for the AMC 15T and 20T
like the post above says , if we know what you need, we are more likely to point you in the right direction

Hi, the bikes frame number is nf92367 engine number v20t9405.

Frame No

Post  piston 197 on Tue Mar 21, 2017 5:24 pm

The first letter is not going to be an "N" but you have given enough info to identify it as a Falcon 87
frame Nos BF,CF,DF,EF,FF etc, but no NF

The club have a full headstock bearing set ( less ball bearings) 4 parts available through me @ 62.50p per set

Thanks again ,the frame number is taken from the log book. It's just the bearings that I require.
