Parts for 1934 FB cruiser 39 model

Post  AJL on Sun Jan 08, 2017 9:28 pm

Hi,
Ive bought a nice FB Cruiser 250cc but need parts any ideas where the best place is to get them? I live in Birmingham?

Thanks everyone, and I thought this would be easy! Well if anyone knows where to find the two covers for the engine a headlight and wires, a tail light , chain and gear lever and linkage I would be very greatfull. Thanks for taking the time to respond
Tony

SPARES FOR CRUISER 39

Post  piston 197 on Mon Jan 09, 2017 7:59 am

There is not going to be a "go to place" for parts for this machine, but you are going about it the right way, just keep asking, placing wanted adverts etc and like buses something will turn up ? Sorry I cannot be more helpful than that.

SPARES FOR CRUISR 39

Post  Maurice on Mon Jan 09, 2017 9:32 am

JH has summed it up beautifully. Parts are a bit akin to hens teeth. I have been restoring my Cruiser for quite awhile now and I notice that requests for information or spares on the forum seldom ever get a reply.
Happy hunting!

parts for older FBs

I agree with the comments as the owner of 1930 Model 4b. However...

It is surprising what Villiers Services have - always worth a call as the web site is only the tip of the ice burg of stuff, the other point I would make is much can be done with a lathe and miller.

cruiser39 parts

Post  cruiser39/45 on Mon Jan 09, 2017 3:45 pm

Am doing the same thing with a 34 cruiser, you don't say what parts you require as there are some bits out there others you can make as I am finding out. Not the easiest of models to restore as they are a unique machine.
