Levers for AMC engies

Post  keith livingstone on Mon Oct 31, 2016 12:16 am

With a couple of Falcons from the early 50's back on the road, against better advice my current project is an FB Plover Model 95 with the AMC 150cc engine. If any member could help with kickstart and gear lever it would be great. These seem almost impossible to find and whereas normal Villiers have 32 splines these ones have 36 on the shafts. Are all AMC engines the same? Many thanks. Keith.

AMC levers

Post  keith livingstone on Wed Nov 02, 2016 12:17 am

Thanks guys for the advice.
Had heard they might the same as Matchless / AJS but tried a friend who reckoned his were bigger diameter maybe 11/16 and not 5/8. Will definitely try Bantam John.
