record of Mums old model'58'

Post  Bomberone on Sat Oct 29, 2016 11:21 pm

Wondered if the club had any history of Mum's Francis Barnett model'58', reg. no. 4822H, its a 197cc and i'll have the engine & chassis numbers somewhere.

Do you have any records? There is a 1953 date scribbled on an envelope which may be when it was 1st registered?

Is it still out there somewhere?

4822H registration

Post  piston 197 on Sun Oct 30, 2016 6:04 am

4822H is not recorded as being registered to any vehicle, so in all liklihood it has gone to the great scrapyard in the sky ? there is a possibility it may still exist and have been re-registered under the age-related scheme, but a chassis No would be required to check this .
Single letter reversed plates with the designation "H" were issued from June 1953 onwards, coincidentally I have a 1953 trials model 62 ( 197cc) which is 1636H
