Front mudguard

Post  graeme on Tue Oct 18, 2016 2:20 pm

hello all. I,m back for more advice please. Because the front guard is rare to find, i guess some people have used replacement/ substuite part instead. Can anyone tell me the outside measurement of the circumference please?

Guessing this is for the 67? Sometimes you can be lucky - I bought a NOS for a Falcon 87 from Vale Onslow, and a seat pan that had been bought to convert from an 87 to a Cruiser. Sometimes you strike out like my search for an 87 rear mudguard. Try looking for James stuff or other AMC or Brit bikes with a similar age and front wheel diameter.

Cheers Colin

Front Mudguard

Good luck. I'd just about given up on the seat base for mine when one popped up on EBay 10 miles away, unknown fit but with a Cruiser, it was only the fittings that tipped me off it was the right one for a Falcon. So thats off to Leightons for a rebuild - hopefully you'll do similar and luck upon the right one. (and if you spot a Falcon 87 rear mudguard along the way give me a shout as mine current one looks like Swiss cheese).

Cheers Colin
