Powerbike 56 parts needed

Post  dsteelepb56 on Sat Oct 01, 2016 2:44 pm

Hi, I am renovating my Powerbike 56 and need a few parts. Pedal back brake:- I have the springs and the main plate that connects to the rear brake rod but the other 2 parts of the ratchet device are missing. Has any member got any of these parts I could loan to make to patterns or are there any drawings that may show them. I would return any parts ASAP. My headlamp and rear light are also missing and also the toolbox lid. Any help/parts would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Tool box lid

The tool box is a tube with one end cap brazed on and one loose end cap secured with a leather strap ( dog collar takes care of this)
The club had the caps made to either supply as a single cap or a pair to anyone wishing to make a toolbox, This toolbox was also used on trials bikes and pre war bikes
I will send you a p.m. with details , the club still has 7 left in stock

Powerbike 56

Headlamp is by VEC/Lucas, they appear on eBay but usually at more than 40; rear lamp is Lucas vt31,again they are available but expensive. Both items were fitted to most autocycles of the period.

J.Goddard's FB book gives details of the back pedal brake.
