Pre-war rear carrier/rack

Post  Paul51 on Tue Jul 26, 2016 8:31 am

Can anyone please supply me with some dimensions or a drawing of a Pre-war rear carrier as fitted to the Plovers and Seagulls?

I cant help but there's some good pics in this web page:

http://motorcycles-for-sale.biz/sale.php?id=54632

I did measure a Prewar Cruiser rack last week and the top could well be the same. That measured 12" x 8" (outside dims) and was the same with regards to only having one bar across the middle within the outer frame.

This is a new remanufactured Cruiser rack sold on ebay a couple of weeks back.

Steve.

Hi, I guess the info you've received should help, if not, I've got an original carrier which you are welcome to borrow or examine if that will help. I need some parts dimensions for a pre war machine, can you help? John.

Many thanks to all those members who replied, much appreciated! I now have an offer from Mike who lives quite close to me to go and measure a carrier.
John, if you would like to PM me I will try and help you if possible.
