Falcon 67 Rear Suspension

Post  Brentis1 on Tue Jul 12, 2016 2:18 am

Hi Guys,
Just looking to change out the rear suspension on an FB Falcon 67. The existing looks like a Girling type - does anyone have any recommendations for a replacement?

Thanks in advance.

rear shocks

Post  piston 197 on Tue Jul 12, 2016 6:27 am

The falcon 67 had it's own rear shocks they are slimmer than anything on the market, are dismantleable ( if that is a word) and serviceable, if you fit Girlings they are fatter and will foul, but it is possible to space them out and make them work.
Norman Blakemore ( NJB shock absorbers) can take your original shocks and rebuild a modern internal into them, but will mean using the original shrouds as they are not the same as anything available
