frame and engine numbers

Post  skodajag on Wed Jun 22, 2016 8:47 am

Good Morning

I need to locate the frame and engine numbers on my 1936 Francis Barnett Cruiser - and can't! Some quick advice on their location would be much appreciated. Regards and thanks, JD

Your frame number will be on the Left hand side of the steering headstock and will begin with two letters followed by 5 numbers. EB for 1935, FB for 1936, GB for 1937 etc. The engine number is stamped across the crankcase halves at the back of the engine, just behind the cylinder barrel.

Thanks Steve - found it. I did look there for the frame number but missed it first time because it has been painted over.
