switch position

Can someone tell me if my falcon 81 has the switch and ammeter in the wrong sides ? the light switch is on the right when sat on the bike, ammeter on the left, i have just watched a couple of videos of similar models and they all had them the opposite way round ?

I can't speak to the Falcon 81 but my Falcon 74 has the switch on the left and the ammeter on the right, as viewed from the riding position. In fact, the mounting hole for the switch is keyed to match the switch case and the mounting hole for the ammeter is keyed to clear the fastening tabs on the ammeter case. No way to confuse the mounting locations. See the photo below.
