Bike colours

Post  john87 on Fri Apr 22, 2016 11:07 am

Hi all,

Trying to sort out a seat for my April 1959 falcon 81. Firstly, anyone know what the original colour of the bike would have been?? I have seen all green ones, and ones with white tanks and mudguards, indeed, mine came with a white tank...

Secondly, I am also trying to sort out a seat for the thing. Should i get a seat with the Black/white piping or the Green/beige piping??

Thanks all

john...

If it was a green and white one it will have a "W" after the frame No, if not it would have been all green, all Falcon 81's had green seat with cream piping

Thanks for that!! Mine has indeed got a "W" after the frame number so it would have been a green and white one..

I will order a seat from RK Leighton's they seem to be the top people for this sort of thing!!
