Foot Rest not stright

Hi,
I have just noticed my right front foot rest is not straight how can i adjust it being cast iron i am   frightened do break it,

I would have thought it is more likely to be a forging. Cast iron wouldn't survive likely impacts on the road. If forged I imagine some heat would allow it to be straightened safely.

They are malleable forgings.  Bash them, heat them to bend if you want, cut and weld them, they won't break.  I cut and shut mine to make for better foot control. more comfortable.  Needed up and down adjustment to get the ideal position for foot-change and brake.

Footrest not straight.

I've just straightened a footrest and the brake pedal by heating to red heat then pulling them back in-line with a bit of tubing.

Footrest not straight

I've also straightened the ones on my Kestrel, one was pointing north, the other south.
Put them in the vice and attached a long piece of tubing for leverage and with a bit of effort - all good.  
I didn't use any heat.
