Rectifier wiring

Post  kerabo on Fri Mar 04, 2016 1:33 pm

I have one of the small square replacement rectifiers to fit but can't find the paper that had the wiring on it.
Anyone know which terminal is which?
This it the 4 terminal one with the terminals at different angles.

Hi Ken,
There is normally a marking on the device package that indicates the +ve terminal ie a + symbol. Once you identify the + , the - terminal will be in the opposite corner and the a.c. Inputs the other two corners. Sometimes the + terminal post is set at 90 degrees to the other three terminals or marked with a chamfered corner. Failing this the terminals can be identified with a multimeter on the ohms or diode range, this will require a little more explanation!
Regards Dave.
