Falcon 87 Ammeter

Post  colk2004 on Wed Mar 02, 2016 9:07 pm

Depends whether you want the genuine article or something that looks about right to fill the hole! I'm using something like this one:-

There are cheaper ones the right size but without the Lucas or 8-0-8 markings. There are other fakes as well like the white faced Miller ones. They are knocked up in India to fit to various Enfields and other Brit bikes and work fine. Just search 8-0-8 ammeter on EBay and see what pops up.

Cheers Colin

Ammeter for 87

Post  piston 197 on Thu Mar 03, 2016 5:22 am

It is not a Lucas 8-0-8- ammeter on an 87 it is a Wipac one with a 1/2 face and chrome cover the chrome cover that covers the face has Wipac stamped on nit, rare to find , and the Lucas one will do, but not original fitting on the 87
