Villiers carburettor

Has anyone ever found anything in writing for the measurement for the float height on the Villiers Carburettor? Through trial and error I ended up setting the free gap on my powerbike between the float and the base of the carb to 1/4" so I could just slide a bolt through the gap but always wondered what it should be.
Now setting an 8E that was lots less.

Regards Ken

Hi Ken, is this what you are looking for, it is from the book "The Villiers Engine" under the "Mark 2F Autocycle Engine" hope this helps. Mike

For some reason the end has been chopped off on my screen.
