I "went" somewhere on my Merlin today.

Post  MrTweedy on Thu Mar 12, 2015 11:22 pm

I had to go down to our local garage today to pick up my wife's car keys after her car had been in for new tyres. I decided to take my Merlin and realised it was the first time I'd gone out on it for a purpose and not just doing test runs around the back roads where I live.
I'm happy to say she ran really well, didn't conk out or die halfway up a hill or any of the other things she did for the first 8 months of owning her. She even started back up again when hot, (but only just, more work needed).
It was probably a round trip of about 10 miles or so and was very enjoyable. It was a bit windy so I was reduced to about 25 MPH up hill into the wind, and of course it started raining as soon as I got her out the garage!

Ah well, onwards and upwards!
