There was a recent reunion of the 3 works 1954/5 bikes from the ISDT team, this can be viewed if you go to speedtrack tales ISDT website, scroll down the column on the left until you see FB ISDT bikes, it is well worth a look at the rest of the excellent site as well !

They all look really good. I was wondering why the 1954 bikes had 1955 forks, now I know. Saw one in the recent Classic bike mag & puzzled over that. Historic bikes indeed.

1954 bikes

Post  piston 197 on Fri Apr 11, 2014 4:59 pm

In 1954 they had 1/2 width wheels front and back, upside down forks and 175 cc engine, for the 55 ISDT they had full width front 6" hub, and 1/2 width rear, later fork and 197cc engine, there was not much else that changed, All 3 were purchased by Works rider George Fisher at the end of 1955 and sold on by him as a bit of a perk of the job,
This photo shoot was probably the first time since 1955 all 3 have been back together.
