Hello, could someone direct me to a link or list that would help me identify what year a Powerbike is? I just cant seem to find one on my own.

All FB's from 1931 have a frame No beginning with a letter to signify the year and in most cases a letter for model, if you post the frame no I can identify year , model and possibly colour, second letter for a powerbike is H for the model 50 with the Villiers junior engine and N for the model 56 with the 2F engine.

JH i really would like to know how to identify a powerbikes year on my own. Im not doubting you would be able to tell me what year exactly a it is. I would most certainly respect your expertise. I would just like to be able to have some documentation to go along with my research. Do you know if there is a website or book that will have this information, just as a point of reference?

Wilrod, OH is a coding from a model 50 powerbike with the Villiers 98cc Junior de-luxe engine, made between sept 1948 and August 1949 and is a 1949 model, the original engine No would have began 454
J daddy, I bet your telephone is ex-directory? as you seem paranoid with secrecy, see above for how simple it can be !
I have sent you a p.m. explaining who I am and how I can help if you wish ?

Yes I can !
it is a 1948 year model FB powerbike model 50 made between beginning of sept 1947 and end of August 1948, it would have originally have been fitted with a Villiers JDL ( junior de-luxe) 98cc engine serial number beginning 434/*****
N = 1948 year model
H = model 50 powerbike

engine number

Post  piston 197 on Wed Jan 08, 2014 8:27 pm

Engine number should be stamped in to the aluminium of the crankcases and should commence 3 numbers for identity code followed by serial number unique to that engine i.e 434/****
