Yes a 1951 Falcon
R= 1951 model
M= falcon
B at end = blue paint
Whether it is a falcon 54 or 55 will depend on electrical equipment
54 has direct lighting with no battery or rectifier
55 is the same bike with rectified charging system and battery,etc

When did Blue become an export colour JH? Was it in 1951 too?

blue versus black

Post  piston 197 on Wed Oct 16, 2013 1:08 pm

The earliest references to blue paint come from 1951 models that would have commenced in sept 1950, and the latest I can find is for the 1954 models which finished at the end of August 1954, The only bike I know that was solely available in Blue was the 1954 model Kestrel 66, I believe it was an option on all other models from 1951 to 1954.

Do you think they were using up their stock of Blue on the Kestrel's in readiness for the 1955 season?

paint

Possibility as the 1955 Kestrel 69 was only available in black !
Then they must have used up the black as well as from 1956 models the Arden Green was the colour of choice

So was black the only colour option for 1955?
