Quick question, should the fuel tank on my falcon 74 have rubber mountings?

Hi, No the fuel tank is bolted at the front with a fixing to each side of the frame, and with a single bolt at the rear through the frame.

Hi
Just searching for information and found this old post.
First test ride on my bike went ok for a couple of miles, then had terrible noise and vibration through the tank. I'm hoping its on just because its low on fuel. I thought the engine had started knocking but that's seems to be running quiet and smooth.
Was there any form of padding between the top frame tube and the tank?

Almost certainly loose tank mounting bolts. The tank will not make contact with the frame (except at the mounting points) if everything is tight.

Thank you.

Not had time to inspect it yet. Will go over it at the weekend.
