Seat Covers

Post  tbird on Tue Feb 07, 2012 7:07 pm

Hi Malc
Yes I did fit the cover and sorbo after having the seat base powder coated.
The 89 seat cover comes with some felt side pieces that are stuck on to the base then the cover and sorbo are put on and in the case of the 89 the cover is pop riveted all round,(some seat covers use clips) I found it better if you clamp the cover in a few places while you rivet.

How long did RK Leighton take and was the price reasonable?

Sorry folks I forgot about the price.

For the cover and the sorbo it was £74.00 and they are very quick, I think it was two to three weeks delivery.

Sorry Malc

I am an old s*d and work in old fashion money.
Sorbo comes from the old fashion SORBO RUBBER you are right in saying the modern 2012 version FOAM.
