Post  tbird on Thu Jan 26, 2012 2:29 am

If it works it is thanks to BessyBarnett.

No Image

Post  bessybarnett on Thu Jan 26, 2012 7:42 pm

Graham, I can't see it on my computer!

There is just a box with the text "This image or video has been moved or deleted" photobucket[/b]

It maybe my screen resolution.

Try again if you can, with perhaps a different size.

That's odd, I can see both pics when I view in my Mozilla Firefox browser however only the first one when I view in Internet Explorer 6 (I get the same message as above.)

Same here - I am using Internet Explorer and only see the first image, though now reduced to a better size.

7VEN are you really 100 years old or is it my Explorer again!

Hi all again
I have just had the same result, the first post has the full picture and I got the error on the other post .I think photobucket might have done it ????
I have deleted the error picture but it has left the wording, Sorry chaps I am an old bu*** trying to get the hang of modern technology, it's a lot easier working on bikes isn't it.

Alternator

Post  tbird on Fri Jan 27, 2012 7:04 am

Ken
I just used that picture to try the pic in post.
But it is the alternator conversion I did that was in the last Directory the one where the pictures didn't get in the article, but Mark rectified the situation on this site.

You are doing well Graham. Error picture now gone.

Posting an image took me a while to work out - with trial and error.

At least you are having a go - and succeeding! Very Happy

Look forward to more piccies from you.

This computer lark is OK if your young, then you grow up with it, but when you have to get up three times in the night computing is not second nature.
I am down to once a night now, the tablets are working.
Que Sera Sera.
I had to look that up too.

ADDING IMAGES TO YOUR POST

Now listen here Margaret (Graham), twas my bike that was called 'Bess' in the early 70's!
Laughing Laughing

Proof! (Can you guess the bike?)

Hi Ted,
On this Forum, if you select the 'General Chat' category and then the subject in the top half of the listing called 'ADDING IMAGES TO YOUR POST' by Admin 2008, Mark has included some instructions regarding placing photos. He suggests the host as Tinypic.com, I use Photobucket.com. Its a matter for you as to which one you are more comfortable with, they are both just as good.

Hope this helps you and any others that need to place photos.

Best of luck

Pete (Bess!)

Ah, but I bet yours didn't have a metal loop handhold at the back of the seat. Mine was the deluxe model!

Me hundreds of years ago - when I had hair!

Thanks John

HFE 822

Post  bessybarnett on Sat Feb 04, 2012 6:38 am

Yes John, I checked online with the DVLA a few years ago and there is no sign of her. If anyone knows where Bess is I would love to know. I sold the bike to someone in the Edwalton area of Nottingham around about 1972, it was a yucky metallic green colour at the time. I moved from Lincoln, where the bike was originally registered, to West Bridgford, Nottingham many moons ago.

I maybe 100 years old Graham, but I can still get my leg over, and have fun!!
