hi to all ,i recently obtained an incomplete and rusted out 46 fb powerbike50 with pressed blade springer forks no motor no front wheel etc most of which i can source i have already got a motor and have down loaded manual / parts list but i have not got the rear brake rigging andthe manual does not show it if someone has one of these 1946/47 powerbikes could they please post some close up photos of the brake / peddel arangment i h searched the net for some clear closeups to no avail and as these were not commercaly sold here in Austraila only privatly imported my chanches of look at one here is nill thanks Ken

46 powerbike 50

Thanks Mike but the 56 has a diferent frame and pedal crank housing to the 50,on the 50 the rear fork legs join onto/into the crank housing/ engine mount casting which has a boss cast into it where the left fork leg attaches and i thought this was a mount /piviot for some part of brake gear Ken

Hi Ken, I know very little about the powerbikes, but I have books with some information on them. In one book when referring to the back brake on the powerbike 50, it starts (The arrgangement of the rear-brake mechanism may be something of a mystery unless the method of operation is understood) I will PM you this information. Looking at the diagram some of the parts on the 56 look similar to those of the 50. But like I said I know very little. Mike Cool
